A few minutes ago, we checked the stats to find that over 20,000 visitors have stopped by Keeping the Feast since this blog about food and faith went online in 2009. Such wonderful news has the Foodies’ minds whirling with ideas to keep you coming back.
Tomorrow, I’ll be posting a new recipe for a dish that won the hearts (and I mean that literally) of the folks I tested it on over the weeked: pasta with artichokes, kalamata olives, tomatoes and sweet onions.
As the week winds on, look for more recipes with a Lenten flavor including a deliciozo offering– kale stuffed with feta cheese — from Scott Alessi, The Monitor’s managing editor. There will also be a “sweet” feature on Kate Heath, the creative force behind “Sweet Tease” tea shop in Manasquan known for its sensational cupcakes, scones and mini-quiches, among other goodies.
Kate, a member of St. Catharine Parish, Spring Lake, will be baking up some of those treats to serve at the dessert reception that will bring the diocesan RE:IMAGE Film Fesitval to a sweet conclusion this Saturday, April 16 at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan.
